Key Responsibilities
In your capacity as a GNC Engineer, your role will be continuously evolving, but day to day your duties will include to:
Design, synthesis, test, implementation, verification, and validation of GNC algorithms, with a special focus on Relative and Visual Navigation techniques.
Participate in the design and implementation of the AOCS/GNC subsystem of The Exploration Company’s spacecraft.
Generate, verify, and analyze auto-coded GNC software.
Develop high fidelity 6 degrees of freedom models and simulations to analyze the system performance.
Model and simulate AOCS/GNC hardware.
Reporting of test results and analysis, with a focus on efficient and automated documentation.
What we would love to see from you
In the role of GNC Engineer ideally, you will have the following:
MSc. in Aerospace or related engineering discipline. A higher degree is considered advantageous.
4+ years’ experience in GNC.
Hands-on experience with relative and visual navigation techniques.
Experience with flight physics simulation.
Strong understanding of classical dynamics, orbital and flight mechanics, modeling and simulation, and software development.
Software development experience in C++, Python and MATLAB/Simulink.
Passion for advancing the commercial space industry.
Highly motivated to work in a fast-paced, autonomously driven, and demanding start-up environment.
Fluent in English. German or French is an asset.
