We’re looking for an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting, cash management and compliance efforts across Peak. About You Peak Ventures is looking for a hands-on accounting leader to own all accounting activities. The right candidate has appropriate operational experience and a customer orientation while getting things done. You spend your time working with people across the company and with external parties including customers, vendors and accounting service providers. A successful candidate will be able to operate independently while achieving timelines and target results.
Responsibilities Own the general accounting function including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and taxes
Maintain a detailed daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow and ensure timely cash collections and vendor payments
Ensure excellent new employee onboarding and timely and accurate payroll
Prepare monthly financial statements with summary for management
Support third-party tax preparation firm for on-time filings
Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferred.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Ownership mentality and proven ability to get things done without dedicated resources or oversight
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across an organization and with outside parties
Customer service orientation with positive attitude
Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with other financial systems
