Systems Administrator, Senior The Challenge :

We’re looking for a systems administrator to develop and support solutions that address the unique missions of clients through cutting–edge tools, best–in–class te chn ologies, and multiple engineering labs, and reach back to a multidisciplinary te chn ology and consulting firm. You'll provide te chn ical and b us iness system support across a large test and evaluation or information assurance contract, with multiple teams executing on, and a diverse set of, systems and te chn ologies.

As a systems administrator on our program, you will provide te chnical support for protecting critical information, systems, and assets. You will learn how to help build vital solutions, troubleshoot, and implement new sof tware and hardware. You’ll help customers overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your experience and communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and communicate their meaning. Provide staff training, help desk support, and assist with the development of an overall IT strategy for our government client. This is an opportunity to gain experience in virtual machines, Linux IT systems, and distributed network environments. We foc us on growing as a team, so we’ll share te chn iques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together. You Have:

5+ years of experience with IT systems support, including configuration, networking, and administration

Experience with supporting Micro sof t products

Experience with supporting VMware or vSphere

Knowledge of installation, support, and maintenance for physical and virtual network servers

Ability to install, configure, and maintain sof tware, hardware, and operating systems on workstations, laptops, and servers

Top Secret clearance

HS diploma or GED

CompTIA Security + certification

Nice If You Have:

3+ years of experience with systems administration

Experience with virtualization

Knowledge of Linux operating systems

Knowledge in networking

Bachelor's degree

CISSP certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,000.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. Work Model
